Standards, approvals & compliance
The application of ISO 9001:2015 is the foundation standard that ensures we meet the expectation of all stakeholders. Proactive in the development of safe technologies, we are pioneering a voluntary certification allied to ISO 26262 – “Road Vehicles – Functional Safety” – an ISO standard defining functional safety for all automotive electronic and electrical safety-related systems.
Our team of consummate engineering professionals is expert in interpreting and negotiating with authorities engaged in electric vehicle certification requirements definition. Our engineering programme management process ensures the capture of these requirements and a seamless translation into detailed, traceable engineering specifications. Solution development, a series of test programmes and documentation preparation ensures vehicle level certification compliance for a range of established and emerging market territories. These include European Whole Vehicle Type Approval (EWVTA) , Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS), Central Motor Vehicle Rules (CMVR) for India and Chinese Compulsory Certification (CCC).
Working with our globally recognised automotive testing laboratory partners, HORIBA MIRA Technology and Millbrook Proving Ground, we have already certified our traction battery to comply with United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) Regulation 38.3. Additionally, our traction battery and high voltage distribution system has also been certified, by Millbrook Proving Ground, as compliant with UNECE Regulation 100 Rev 2 part 1. Pushing the bar even higher, we are about to complete our latest certification programme and our traction battery technology certified to comply with ENECE Regulation 100 Rev 2 Part 2.
Traceability, precision & consistency
Traction battery packs and battery management strategies are safety-critical systems and demand significant rigour and robustness throughout the assembly process. Committed to excellence in manufacturing and assembly quality we have invested in a state of the art smart tooling approach. Our high tech tools, assembly systems and process software guarantees high quality and sustainable productivity. Our manufacturing system delivers full traceability down to individual component level. Working in this mission critical environment we can identify and react to supply chain led queries should they arise, down to a component level on any truck, at any time.
Robust build process, testing & QC
The application of ISO 9001:2015 to our Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) deliver a foundation of quality at every stage of the vehicle build process. every subsystem and vehicle build. A data driven end of line test and full vehicle pre-delivery checks ensure we deliver on our quality commitment Right 1st Time – Every Time.

As a producer of industrial batteries, under the Waste Batteries and Accumulators Regulations 2009, we Tevva Motors Ltd produce Lithium Ion batteries. We are obliged to take back free of charge, waste industrial batteries supplier to an end user, for treatment and recycling. We are required to this in any calendar year we place new industrial batteries on the market.
